KEEP Foundation
The Kern Environmental Education Foundation is made up of local business leaders, corporate citizens, public officials and representatives of environmental organizations. The foundation takes no advocacy positions and exists to encourage, promote and support environmental education programs operated by the Kern County Superintendent of Schools on behalf of Kern County students.
KEEP Foundation meetings are held on the 3rd monday of each month at 4 p.m. in the KCSOS building. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
The KEEP Foundation exists to . . .
- Promote a greater respect for our environment
- Provide non-advocacy environmental and scientific experiences for our youth
- Support ongoing program needs
- Expand public and corporate awareness of and participation in KEEP
Your contribution is needed, appreciated and will be put to good use. The Kern Environmental Education Foundation thanks you for your support, as do our students. For a brief look at how your donations are appreciated, read some of the thank you letters we have received from children and parents over the years.
Why your contribution is so important . . .
Your contribution to the nonprofit, all-volunteer Kern Environmental Education
Foundation helps support non-advocacy environmental education in Kern County.
Each year thousands of Kern County students spend a week at our Ocean or Cambria
campuses and several are on camperships funded by donations to the foundation. Your contribution supports a tradition begun in 1969. Because the
Kern Environmental Education Foundation is all volunteer, your entire contribution
benefits our students.
