A Day at KEEP Ocean

7:00 a.m. Rise & Shine
Cabin cleaning time
7:20 - 8:30 a.m.

Breakfast, awards, and getting ready for the day.

8:30 - 11:30 a.m

Science Walks climbing mountains, going to tidepools, sand dunes, the creek,or to Morro Bay. Students participate in active exploration and scientific studies aimed at increasing their understanding of science, history and the natural world.
11:30a.m - 12:30p.m Picnic Lunch
12:30 - 3:30p.m Science Walks climbing mountains, going to tidepools, sand dunes, the creek,or to Morro Bay. For more hike detail to see what they do on each KEEP Ocean hike go to KEEP Ocean.
3:30 - 4:30 p.m. Teachers have their students for an hour. During this time, school teachers provide activities for their students such as short lessons, art projects, writing letters home, or filling out their KEEP journals, .
4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Recreation and Shower Time. Activities include volleyball, basketball, ping-pong, tetherball, snake holding & touch tank exploration.
5:30 - 6:15 p.m. Dinnertime! Afterwhich students have brief break to prepare for evening program.
7:00 - 9:00p.m. Evening Program. Students work together playing various science games. Games are followed by a campfire, songs, and stories.
9:00p.m Bedtime
9:15p.m Lights Out
