K.E.E.P. Summer Science Program

Kern Environmental Education Program is proud to offer the opportunity for 6th and 7th grade students to attend the KEEP Summer Science Program.
This summer camp is open to all 6th and 7th grade Kern County Students.  If they have been to KEEP before or they are planning to attend in the up coming year this is a unique chance to explore one of the more spectacular California coastal settings in a safe and educational manner.  Experienced campers can revisit some favorite trails, hang out with friends and your favorite naturalists.  New campers get to see it all fresh for the first time.

When:  Tues July 24 - Fri. July 27,  2012

Where:  KEEP Ocean Campus in Montana de Oro State Park

Who:  The trained staff of KEEP naturalists, experienced cooks and maintenance personnel will entertain, educate and feed the children in a fun and safe setting.

What:  What is included in the price?
  • 4 days and 3 nights stay in the cool coastal environs of Montana de Oro State park.
  • Transportation to and from a convenient Bakersfield location.
  • 10 meals and snacks
  • Daily trips to the beach and/or tide pools 
  • Evening programs,sunset hikes and campfires
  • Crafts and games
  • Free Summer Program T-shirt
  • And much, much more.

Cost:  Cost of the camp is $400 per camper

Why:  Because it's an awesome chance to escape the heat, come to the coast, have fun and learn about nature with friendly knowledgeable people.
